Hot off the press - the results from this afternoon's National Road Relays are as follows :

 The times from the men’s athletes were as follows:

75th Royal Sutton Coldfield 2:04:11

1 Simon Lees (74) 19:33 

2 Simon Bond (77) 20:33

3 Steve Marklew (77) 20.32 

4 Fred Tremblay (76) 20.40

5 Marcus Smedley (78) 21:17 

6 Paul Terleski (75) 21:36

A good all round effort & 1min 20sec quicker than the Midlands

Despite my best efforts, the official results are incorrect. Rotherham 3rd
leg runner (team 61) had one of my numbers & wore it on the front of his
vest!

He came in some 2 ½ min's in front of me & I've been credited with his
finish time & a leg split of 18.06 (if only) & Fred gets the balance to give
him a 23.06. I did try & point this out to the officials, giving them all
the facts but alas a total lack of being able to do anything about this has
prevailed. 

The times from the women’s athletes were as follows:

58 RoyalSuttonColdfield 'A' 1:12:52

1 O Larcombe (66) 17:20

2 Lana Partridge (60) 17:54

3 Alex Bridges (57) 18:05

4 Emma Overy (58) 19:33

 This represented a good run from Alex one week on from the ½ marathon last
week.
